Ceremony in commemoration of the Jewish victims during the Vichy regime and homage to the "Righteous among the Nations" of France

This is the national day of Remembrance of the Jewish victims of the Vichy regime
during the nazi occupation of France.
In just two days in July 1942 over thirteen thousand Jews were arrested and detained in Paris
before being sent to the death camps.

Michelle, our Ecumenical Officer, was officially invited to the ceremony and she read a prayer specially written for the occasion along with representatives of the Caen Jewish community, the local Christian denominations and the Caen Muslim community.
