The RC Diocese has initiated a program of celebrations of
the 950th anniversary of the foundation of Abbaye aux Dames.

The beautiful Norman style benedictine Abbey church is also the resting place
of Queen Matilda, Duchess of Normandy, Queen of England.

Considering the long standing link of ecumenical fellowship between
the RC Diocese of Bayeux-Lisieux and the Diocese of Exeter

the celebrations will be ecumenical with the presence of Archdeacon of Exeter Ian Chandler
and the contribution of St George's Choir.
St George's Choir will sing Vespers on Friday 17th,
and the Anglican Mass at Chapelle de la Miséricorde
on Sunday 19th which will exceptionally be at 11 am.
St George's Choir will also give a full concert on Saturday night at Abbaye aux Hommes
(see post below).
