Ecumenical Prayer Vigil for Peace in Syria

On Saturday September 7th, we were invited by the RC diocese to join in a Prayer Vigil. This was an intiative of Pope Francis who was having a Prayer Vigil in the same time in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican.

Our Ecumenical Officer, Michelle, represented our Chaplaincy by actively participating in the preparation and by reading a text during the vigil and Yvonnic led the singing of "Make me a channel of your peace".

The local Protestant and Orthodox communities were represented too.

This was a very moving prayer time, marked by the presence and testimony of a family of Syrian origin.
